The author explains how the Old Covenant's tabernacle and sacrifices were symbolic and passed away, pointing to a greater reality. The repeated animal sacrifices and restricted access to God under the Law is contrasted with Christ’s perfect once-for-all sacrifice, which and opens access to God.
